About The Role

Plympton Academy have an exciting opportunity for a science technician to join their team, providing general, practical support within the science department.  The successful candidate will prepare equipment and materials for lessons, examinations and controlled assessments in safe, clean working conditions, for use by teachers and students.

Our Science Technician will provide practical support for students in science lessons as back-up to science teaching staff, preparing resources and assembling apparatus as required.  They will also ensure the Science area meets health and safety requirements and will lead on stock control and ordering as appropriate.

This is a part time, fixed term role until August 2025 in the first instance, with the potential of becoming permanent from September 2025. Working hours are 17.5 hours per week.
