About The Role

We are seeking to appoint a Lunchtime Play Leader at New Horizons Children’s Academy to stimulate and engage our children in exciting play and games at lunchtime whilst maintaining their safety. A willingness to work as part of a team and seek positive solutions is essential.

Hours are either 11.30 – 13.00 or 11.50 – 13.20, Monday to Friday

The successful candidate will supervise pupils outside in the dining areas, ensuring good standards of behaviour by following the School’s Behaviour Management Policy.  The Lunchtime Playleader will assist with associated ancillary duties (e.g. cleaning up spillages, ensuring tables are clean, etc). They will provide welfare support to the pupils, including undertaking first aid duties (depending on training) and will ensure School security regulations are upheld.

At the discretion of the school, the Lunchtime Playleader may be required to work between 1-5 INSET days per an academic year, to complete additional training and safeguarding update, which may sometimes be outside of school hours.
